Power costs us a lot, at home, in our communities and across the county. Our energy infrastructure is changing. As we move to more renewables the grid is changing too. Hundreds of street lights around Angus are no longer supported by Angus Council.
We commissioned Community Energy Expert Joe Smee to take a detailed look at options and opportunities for community street lighting, retrofitting buildings and community energy generation. Read the report here.
We are exploring how communities can be involved in local power in Angus. We’d encourage communities developing local energy projects to contact The Community Energy Launchpad .
This helps community groups across Scotland to take their first steps into renewable energy and shared ownership projects and explore the options available.
