The stuff that we buy doubles Scotland's climate carbon emissions.
Around 80% of Scotland’s carbon footprint comes from all the goods, materials and services which we produce and use. Buying less and being more resourceful by reusing, mending and making our 'stuff' last longer, helps reduce harmful emissions and is often cheaper than buying new. Sharing stuff, through borrowing and lending also benefits friends, family and local folks in your community.

STUFF

Our lead partner Montrose Community Trust runs a Boot Bank - a reuse initiative that encourages the circular use of pre-owned football boots. Members of the community are invited to donate unwanted boots, which are then offered at low cost. The project helps reduce equipment waste while supporting local families and players in accessing affordable gear.
Our partner Angus Cycle Hub run a bike recycling centre based in Dundee and two community based hubs based in Arbroath and Dundee. These offer recycled, refurbished & new bikes, components & accessories, and lots of advice. Bikes can be donated directly to their bases in Dundee and Arbroath or at any Recycling Centre in Angus.
